He and his wife, Deborah, have lived in Campbell  for 9 years, and they recently adopted their daughter. Chris was inspired to run for the school board in order to bring an educator's perspective to our local school district.

In addition to his work as a Governing Board Member, Chris is a 4th-grade teacher. Prior to moving to Campbell, Chris lived in Chicago, where he started his teaching career and served in the Peace Corps. Since joining the Board, he has been an advocate for closing the equity gap in CUSD and for supporting student mental health.

Chris will continue to focus on policies and programs that will close the equity gap between our most vulnerable students and their on-grade-level peers.

He will advocate for smaller class sizes and support staff in classrooms to help students meet their individual needs and reach their fullest potential.

He will support district budgets that ensure that Campbell remains one of the most fiscally responsible and financially solvent districts in the county. With proper planning and foresight, we can mitigate the impact on students, staff, and the community at large.

As the only educator on the Campbell Union School Board  he knows the challenges educators, and district staff face. As a parent he knows the expectations our parents, families and community members have for our district.
